Chevy Commons State Park is a 60+ acre site located on the Flint River, a few blocks from downtown Flint, Michigan. The park repurposes the site as a community amenity, converting the vacant industrial land into a safe public open space. As an amenity to the park, the 800 SF restroom facility anchors the southeast corner of the site, where it connects to the adjacent Genesee Valley Trail. The modest facility is defined by a sculptural, monolithic form, echoing the playful and energetic atmosphere of the surrounding landscape.
